About Me

As an athlete I have found aside from hard work, the greatest tools for success are passion and desire. These practices have led to my achievements and contributed to a purposeful career. Thus I always encourage people to take up running wherever I can as there are many things to be gained from running. Not only does running  increase your lifespan, it allows you to explore and experience different places, it enables you to look and feel good about yourself and it instils qualities such as discipline, tenacity, dedication and patience- qualities needed in all aspects of life.

Apart from running being a source of income and an opportunity to travel and see the world, it holds a much more meaningful role to me. Running has shaped me into the person I am today –independent, accomplished and confident. The qualities that i have acquired through running have greatly contributed to my character enabling me to successfully accomplish my goals in life. To me running at an elite level is as much about self discovery as it is about performance.

Building a career for life after sport is just as important to me, it should be both Fulfilling and purposeful. I am always keen to learn. Sport had created the opportunity for me to earn free education, so i made full use of the opportunity. After Graduating from UWC, I went on to complete my honours in Sports Management Honours and post graduate in Education at the University of Johannesburg.

Company: Sanlam Cape Town Marathon event

Development Athletes Manager and Social Media
I joined the Sanlam ape Town Marathon Team in February 2016, in that year the race had Silver label status. In 2017, Sanlam Cape Town became the first Marathon on the African continent to be awarded Gold Label Status. I am very proud to be associate with this race for many reasons but mostly because it provides local athletes with an opportunity to Another reason is that it is run through my beautiful city- a spectacular fast and flat route which boasts with natural beauty of the mountain and sea.

My philosophy has always been to: “Dream big, go for what you want and never put a limit to what you can achieve”.
