Nolene Cares Campaign aims to help impoverished communities and disadvantaged groups to become more active. Ways I plan to do this is to promote awereness, assist with equipment and provide hope through speaking engagements. I believe that everyone should have the right to experience and benefit from sport.
Coming from a disadvantaged background myself, I understand the challenges facing most kids in these communities. I want to make a positive impact and give back.
I am actively involved in projects, including:
*Shoe donations (sacanrun shoe drive), in various provinces.
*Fundraising to educate and empower young women in SA.
*Mentoring young women on Endurocad Program
*Appearances and Inspirational Talks – at no charge for disadvantaged communities.
Project for Mandela Day
I am collecting 67 pairs of shoes which will be donated to Ronwa Primary School on Mandela Day. Ronwa Primary school is located in Paarl, most of learners attending the school are from the surrounding farms where their parents work as farm workers. The kids are in real need of a proper pair of shoes. Mandela Day (which is around the corner! 18 July) is about changing the world for the better, just as Nelson Mandela did every day.
How you can help?
*If you or your kids have shoes lying around that you no longer use, you can drop them off at any of the drop off locations. click on the link for drop off locations. https://www.endurocad.co.za/our-progra…/sacanrun-shoe-drive/
The main drop off location is Endurocad office, Stellenbosch Academy of Sport.
*Share with friends and family, perhaps they can help too.
Thank you for your support!
